Tuwaiq Academy has launched an AI Innovation Center in partnership with NVIDIA, aiming to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s artificial intelligence capabilities and develop national talent in emerging technologies.
The academy described the new facility as the first center of its kind in the Middle East and the second worldwide.
The center was inaugurated at Tuwaiq Academy’s headquarters in Riyadh during a ceremony attended by representatives from NVIDIA, industry experts and partner organizations.
The initiative will provide specialized training, practical learning opportunities and access to advanced AI tools and technical resources.
According to Tuwaiq Academy, the center will focus on preparing Saudi professionals to build artificial intelligence applications, including solutions based on natural language processing.
Natural language processing is a branch of AI that enables computer systems to understand, interpret and generate human language. It is widely used in chatbots, translation tools, search systems and generative AI platforms.
Experts from Tuwaiq Academy and NVIDIA will work together to deliver technical programs and practical projects designed around industry requirements.
The center is expected to help participants develop skills in machine learning, AI application development and other emerging technologies.
It will also support collaboration between trainees, technical specialists and industry professionals working on new AI solutions.
Tuwaiq Academy said participants would gain practical experience using advanced technologies and development resources rather than relying only on theoretical instruction.
The initiative will also prepare globally certified AI ambassadors who can support the adoption of artificial intelligence within businesses, government entities and technology organizations.
Participants completing the certification programs will receive internationally recognized credentials and practical skills aligned with labour-market requirements.
Tuwaiq Academy Chief Executive Abdulaziz Alhammadi said the partnership reflected the academy’s commitment to building highly skilled national talent in artificial intelligence.
He said the academy’s programs were developed in cooperation with major international technology companies and were based on practical application and industry-focused learning.
The new center expands an existing relationship between Tuwaiq Academy and NVIDIA, which have previously worked together on AI training programs, workshops and professional certifications.
The launch comes as Saudi Arabia increases investment in artificial intelligence, cloud computing and digital infrastructure under its Vision 2030 economic transformation strategy.
The Kingdom is seeking to build a larger workforce of developers, engineers and technology specialists capable of supporting AI adoption across sectors including healthcare, banking, logistics, retail and government services.
The center is expected to contribute to those efforts by combining NVIDIA’s technical expertise with Tuwaiq Academy’s training network and local workforce-development programs.
Tuwaiq Academy has also developed technology initiatives with other global companies in areas including programming, cybersecurity, cloud computing and digital innovation.
The AI Innovation Center will operate as a training and collaboration platform where participants can test tools, develop projects and work with technical experts.
Its programs are intended to help meet growing demand for AI-related skills in Saudi Arabia and support the country’s broader ambition to become a regional technology and innovation hub.
